Built in 1791, and now located at Riverside Park, the Miller-Claytor home is the only 18th Century House still standing in Lynchburg. It is said that at this home, Thomas Jefferson became the first person to bite into a "poisonous love apple" while he was on his way to Poplar Forest, his retreat in nearby Bedford County.
